What a Holistic Counselling Session Feels Like...

It is a time that is dedicated to and focused purely on you, a safe space for you to feel heard, seen and understood.

It is quite simple but a very powerful experience for you, as in our very busy and loud world this isn’t an experience that comes easy or regular.

It will be a sacred time for you to express and explore your personal experiences without any fear of judgement or opinions.

It can feel very vulnerable to open up to a stranger and share your experiences, my role is to build a rapport with you that allows you to feel safe in opening up and sharing your experiences.

I use ‘Person Centered Therapy’ which means the Holistic Counselling session is led by you…

We go at your pace, respecting your nervous system and only approaching, talking about and healing when you feel ready.

This is an important part of you feeling safe and supports your healing process.

Holistic Counsellor

As part of my process in the Holistic Counselling sessions I incorporate talk therapy, EFT Tapping and Intuitive Guidance.

The Talk therapy component gives you the opportunity to explore and express your experiences, gaining a deeper understanding of what you have been through.

EFT Tapping allows you to go deeper again, incorporating the body and healing at the core level.  A somatic healing process that allows you to connect with the wisdom of your body.

Intuitive guidance is used throughout the session to provide you with insight to help you in healing and moving forward.

My 4-part signature approach:

1. Set an intention

Setting an intention is a vital part of the process, it is important to be clear about what you would like to achieve, process, heal and release in our time together.

The intention setting process also serves as notice to your nervous system that we are about to go to work.

Your nervous system likes a warming up period and this serves to ensure it is ready to come along for the ride.

2. Share Your Story

Your story is unique to you and no two people will ever have the same experience.

This is another vital part of the puzzle in your healing journey and your time in my world.

I provide you with a safe space to start to unpack your story aka your individual experiences.

This will help you to understand yourself on a deeper level and gain clarity about your experiences.

3. Heal & Release Energy Blocks

Through your story telling, events, experiences and unprocessed emotions are going to reveal themselves.

Your subconscious mind is going to spoon feed little bits to us, like a green flag to go ahead and heal and release.

Your nervous system always sets the pace and we only heal as quickly or as slowly as it dictates.

You are always safe with me as a trauma aware and informed therapist.

4. Educate & Empower

I feel it is paramount that you become self-aware of your needs, nuances and signs of burnout.

That is why I ensure that through our time together I am constantly teaching you strategies that I know will support you.

I feel that education and empowerment go hand-in-hand, the more you learn, the more self-empowered you become.
