My Approach & Philosophy

Bridging Traditional & Alternative Therapy

I became a bridge between two worlds that were seemingly different...

The two worlds are:

  • Traditional Therapy
  • Alternative Therapy


I spent a good amount of time, in fact years trying to fit into each of those worlds, but it felt like a square peg in a round hole…know the feeling?

As I reflected on my own personal experience of healing, I quickly realised I needed to become the bridge between the two worlds.

This is my own personal philosophy and is not taking anything away from all the amazing traditional therapists and alternative therapists, I have respect for each and every one of them and the work they do in a very challenging world.

To simplify my approach in two words “FEEL HEARD”

Through my own personal experience of not feeling heard through a lot of my life, I understood the damage and havoc this can wreak on a person.

It is damaging to the child, the teenager and the adult…

In todays world majority of people are not listening to hear you, they are listening to respond… Let that sink in for a moment.

You deserve to feel heard, seen and understood...

How often would you say, you have experienced that in your life?


Your voice matters and to feel heard brings you a sense of validation and support.


Your unique essence matters and to feel seen validates that you are worthy.


You deserve to feel understood and your unique essence to be accepted and respected.
My Point of View:

Traditional talk therapy is healing…

Alternative therapies are healing…

I believe both worlds have so much to offer and it doesn’t need to be one or the other… It can be both.

I have experienced in the traditional therapy world that it needs to be just the tried and true traditional therapies…

And I have experienced in the alternative therapies world that it needs to only be the new alternative therapies…

My experience has shown me that being a bridge between the two worlds and combining talk therapy with energy psychology is where the magic resides.

I no longer try to fit in either world, I have made my own world where a unique individualized approach resides.

1. Set an intention

Setting an intention is a vital part of the process, it is important to be clear about what you would like to achieve, process, heal and release in our time together.

The intention setting process also serves as notice to your nervous system that we are about to go to work.

Your nervous system likes a warming up period and this serves to ensure it is ready to come along for the ride.

2. Share Your Story

Your story is unique to you and no two people will ever have the same experience.

This is another vital part of the puzzle in your healing journey and your time in my world.

I provide you with a safe online space to start to unpack your story aka your individual experiences.

This will help you to understand yourself on a deeper level and gain clarity about your experiences.

3. Heal & Release Energy Blocks

Through your story telling, events, experiences and unprocessed emotions are going to reveal themselves.

Your subconscious mind is going to spoon feed little bits to us, like a green flag to go ahead and heal and release.

Your nervous system always sets the pace and we only heal as quickly or as slowly as it dictates.

You are always safe with me as a trauma aware and informed therapist.

4. Educate & Empower

I feel it is paramount that you become self-aware of your needs, nuances and signs of burnout.

That is why I ensure that through our time together I am constantly teaching you strategies that I know will support you.

I feel that education and empowerment go hand-in-hand, the more you learn, the more self-empowered you become.
