Ask Your Angels Ep20

Your Guidance Revealed

Ask Your Angels Ep20

Card 1:

Your guidance starts at 1:25 in the video below.

RELATIONSHIP HARMONY – A wonderful card to receive right before the Christmas Period, what could be better than feeling the love and peace that comes when each and every person has an open heart.  This is the gift the Angels are giving you, what they are asking from you is that you manage your expectations during this time, Christmas is usually a time where we come together with people we don’t necessarily see all that much throughout the year and this can cause friction and tension sometimes.  Coming into it with an open heart and lowering your expectations allows you to the enter the space with a lightness and with that comes a more joyful experience, as you aren’t expecting anything from anyone and with that comes harmony and beautiful surprises and miracles bestowed upon you.

In the video below I share more about this concept and process and give you some insight on what will ensure your experience is one of joy and love.

Card 2:

Your guidance starts at 4:05 in the video below

ANGEL THERAPY – Fancy that another week of our guidance following on like a beautiful story, the angels are blessing you with open hearts all around and now Archangel Raphael is coming in and showering you with his beautiful healing energy and asking you to hand anything over to him, you don’t have to do it alone.  As I mentioned in Card 1 Christmas can be a time of tension and stress and we can sometimes feel we have to do it alone, but NO your angels are there to support you and pave the way for you to have a beautiful relaxing experience if you allow them to help you.

In the video below I talk about how Christmas is known as a time of coming together, celebrating and forgiveness but it can also be a time of reflection, what has the past being about, what has it taught you?  In my view and the angels are guiding as well its not the best time to be trying to mend deep hurt with other people, because tensions can be running high, alcohol flowing and expectations are also high.

Card 3:

Your guidance starts at 6:58 in the video below

YOU ARE SAFE – What is better than that, to know you are safe.  Our beautiful strong Archangel Michael is with you, ready to cut through any negative energy that you may pick up with his infamous sword.  He is wanting you to know that he has your back!  There may be situations you find yourself in over the holidays that maybe are not of your choosing and not something you may know how to necessarily cope with, this is where he is going to come in and support you, if you allow him to.

Ask for his strength and courage to help you through times that may see you surrounded with people that are not necessarily on your vibration level, yes family are not always understanding or respectful of our difference and our growth and that can be challenging.  So ask Archangel Michael to be with you and surround you in his beautiful purple light and to cut any cords with people that you no longer want your energy attached to, now this doesn’t mean that you don’t love them or even want to sever all communication, it is just cutting the energetic cord, so your energy stays protected.

Card 4:

Your guidance starts at 11:43 in the video below

ALL IS WELL – What a beautiful way to end our story this week and also as an individual message for you, ALL IS WELL!  Isn’t that what we all want to just know that everything is going to be okay.  What the angels are guiding is if you can follow their guidance during this time, and well of course always, then all will be well.  They are also guiding there are going to be times where you need to let things play out, even if it doesn’t feel good and even downright painful sometimes, you just need to let it be.  Now I know as empaths and sensitive souls this isn’t easy for us, because we are so compassionate and always wanting to help and serve others.  But sometimes we just need to let things be and see where they go, not interfering, just going with the flow and only acting from a place of alignment and when you feel guided to step in.

Now we all know how easily we can be triggered by family, boy are they good at pressing our buttons, but it is your job to just stand back and allow it to just flow over you like water off a ducks back.  No reacting, just observing and removing yourself from the situation if need be.   As you do that you will soon see that ALL IS WELL.

What a beautiful story this week, an empowering one I feel, knowing that you are in control, you can lower those expectations and go into each day and each event with an energy of lightness and relaxation.  Not concerned with things going perfectly, but just spending time with people you love and knowing you have the power, strength and healing of the Archangels right by your side.

Ask Your Angels | Episode 4 | What is your Strength?

In this week’s episode of “Ask Your Angels” the theme is”What is my Strength?”

Strength is a topic that comes up a lot in my client sessions, many women find it hard to recognise their own strength and especially have a hard time owning what their strength is.

So in today’s episode we are going to look into that question “What is my Strength?”

Tune in to your Cosmic Team and Ask Your Angels WHAT is my strength?
Pick card 1, 2, 3 or 4.

Your Guidance Revealed

Card 1:

Trust The Niggle ~ This card is letting you know that your strength is your Intuition, those little body niggles that you get, guiding you to do something in a certain way or go down this path.  Your angels are guiding you that you can trust in your intuition, it will not lead you astray, I know in the beginning trusting in your intuition and yourself can be challenging.  Even for me who uses intuition for everything, right down to the food that I eat, I sometimes don’t listen and of course I say “I should of listened and trusted my intuition”.

Your Angels are asking me to say to you “Yes that was us”, so I am guessing you have asked that question “Was that you?”.

Card 2:

The Ever-Unfolding Rose ~ This card is showing you that your strength is in questioning and not blaming, you aren’t one to blame others for what is going on within and around you, you look for the deeper meaning.  And this my lovely is a huge strength, trust me not many people do this, to blame others sure is easier than take responsible yourself for what you are experiencing.

Having the mindset of this is happening for me not to me, is a great step in your spiritual awakening, your angels are dancing for joy.

Card 3:

Play ~ This card brings the message of your light heartedness as your strength, your ability to bring a smile to anyone, no matter what they are experiencing.  This is a huge strength and service to the collective as a whole, as they say laughter is the best medicine.  Throughout our journey with my girls medical issues, my husband has always had the ability to make them laugh and smile, no matter what they were about to go through.

Your angels are asking you to not underestimate this strength and the power it brings to any situation, shine your beautiful fun loving energy.

Card 4:

Mirror ~ This card brings you the message of Mirror and Reflection as your strength,  you are able to look at what is going on outside of you as a reflection of your inner world.  Now this strength is BIG, definitely not for the faint-hearted, its takes a lot to look at your external world and wonder what within you is causing this reflection.  Many people will just blame another or a situation for the way they are feeling, not you, your first thought is always “why is this triggering me?”, and that my lovely is STRENGTH.

Your angels want you to know as you observe your triggers and heal them, you are not only healing yourself but your whole genetic line.  You are saying “THIS STOPS WITH ME”, they want to thank and congratulate you.

Honour Your Sensitivity

Have you ever been told “you are just too sensitive”?

Yes, me too.  I have been told this a number of times, usually by those closest to me.  This for a very long time caused me to feel really bad about myself and like there was something very wrong.

On my journey of getting to know the true me, I have learned that actually my sensitivity is my strength.  I was given this gift for a reason and it is my responsibility and purpose to share it with the world.

What is Sensitivity?

Sensitivity is feeling everything at a very deep level, it is not something you have a choice in and at times you may have no idea why you are even feeling emotional.  Another way to describe sensitivity is caring about others very deeply,  have you found yourself crying or feeling really emotional and attached to people on TV?

Yes, me too.  I have got to the point now where I don’t watch the news because it is just too overwhelming and overloads my system.  Sound familiar?

So, you know that you are a sensitive soul, what now?  It is extremely important that you protect yourself, as a sensitive soul you will pick up on other people’s feelings even if they themselves are not aware of them.

I am going to share some simple exercises with you to protect your energy and minimise your system being overloaded.

  1. Surround yourself in white light
Imagine you are inside of a white bubble, that covers you all the way from your head right down to your feet, ensuring it goes underneath your feet as well.  As you imagine this bubble it is important to ensure you have the intention of deflecting negative emotions whilst still allowing in guidance and abundance.
  2. Body Scan
Before going out anywhere, do a body scan.  This involves closing your eyes and just scanning your body, noticing any tightness or aches and pains.  What this does is helps you to distinguish between your own body feels and those that are coming from another person.  If you notice body feels that are not yours, you can simply ask your angels to remove this from you as it doesn’t belong to you, it is not yours to carry.
  3. Boundaries
As a sensitive soul it is paramount that you have boundaries and adhere to them with each and every person you interact with, I don’t care if they are a stranger or your family and closest friends.  To be honest with you it is the ones closest to us that are the biggest offenders of stepping over the line.   Lay out your boundaries and they are non-negotiable, as you treat yourself in a caring and loving way, so will others.

Your Sensitivity is your Strength

Now you have a good understanding of what sensitivity is and how to recognise it within yourself and how to protect this vulnerability.  Now it is time to understand that this is a gift, being sensitive is not a negative trait, if only there were more sensitive souls the world would be a very different place.

Caring deeply for others is not a bad thing as long as you protect yourself.  Staying grounded and recognising what you are picking up on, will make a huge difference in how you view your sensitivity.  There are always going to be people that will step over your boundaries and try to take advantage of this sensitivity and this is where your protection needs to kick in big time.

Using these techniques is going to ensure that your sensitivity is a strength and something you can use to your advantage in being able to help others and serve the world as a light worker.   There is already too much darkness in our world, your light is needed.

A fun way to deal with the negative nellies who say “You are just too sensitive”

I have had a lot of these in my life, so I know exactly how you are feeling when experiencing this statement.  I love to say “really wow thank you so much, what a beautiful compliment.”   It will put them on the back foot real quick and chances of them saying it again is very minimal.

I no longer want you to feel bad about yourself or feel like your sensitivity is a negative trait.  You are a beautiful strong sensitive soul that is needed in the world – Shine Your Light Baby!

Are you finding it hard to set your boundaries and deal with being a sensitive soul?

I offer individual online sessions that are individualised to your needs, supporting you to restore your peace of mind.

My Epilepsy Warrior

In this week’s blog I wanted to share a personal experience with you in hopes of bringing awareness to Epilepsy in Children.   As many of you may or may not know our 16 year old daughter has two types of Epilepsy; Generalised Epilepsy and Photosensitive Epilepsy.

March is the month of Epilepsy Awareness here in Australia with March 26 being Purple Day.

In the past week our daughter’s seizures returned with a vengeance after a 115 day siesta, to say the least it was very heartbreaking for her and us.  Epilepsy can lead you into a false sense of security when the seizures are controlled.  I always remember her neurologist saying to us “never become complacent, even when the seizures are quiet, as Epilepsy is always there just under the surface and will re-surface with a vengeance”.

To give you a better understanding of what having seizures means for a kid, first lets talk about the learning deficits.  If you can imagine losing 10-20 seconds of time many times a day and think about how that would affect your day, that is what our kids are dealing with in trying to attend school every day, keep up with the school work and get some resemblance of an education.

On Friday Gabby had what is called a Tonic Clonic seizure (Grand mal seizure) which lasted for 3 mins, this all happened at school with people who have never experienced it before, so really didn’t know what to do.  The best laid plans go out the window in a moment of panic, I had strict instructions on what needed to happen but unfortunately they did not recognise what was happening.  A big reason for working on a better awareness around childhood epilepsy.

There are over 40 different types of seizures, Gabby has three different types within her two types of epilepsy.  Absence seizure, which is her becoming unconscious and flickering of her eyelids and generally lasts 10-20 secs.  Absence seizure – staring, which is her becoming unconscious and staring into space and generally last 10-20 secs and tonic clonic seizure, stiff arms, shaking legs, eyes rolling back (this type of seizure is more recognised by those with no experience with epilepsy or seizures).

Each child is different in how their seizures present but there is a set of rules in dealing with someone who is having a seizure and below I have shared with you “First Aid for Seizures”.

The aftermath of a seizure

Post seizure can be a tough time for the kids, some come out of it fairly quickly and others stay in what is called “postictal state” for some time.

“The postictal state is the altered state of consciousness after an epileptic seizure. It usually lasts between 5 and 30 minutes, but sometimes longer in the case of larger or more severe seizures, and is characterized by drowsiness, confusion, nausea, hypertension, headache or migraine, and other disorienting symptoms.”

Now the seizure is over and so is the postictal state we get back to life as normal as possible, what does that look like?  For us it is filled with anxiety and supporting Gabby to cope with her daily seizures once again, luckily for us I am a trained professional counsellor and eft coach, so I have the tools to support her.

The important thing to understand is Epilepsy is so much more than just seizures, it is the aftermath and dealing with the fear of seizures on a daily basis.

Epilepsy Family

So, how do we cope with this as a family?  Gabby is the one suffering with the seizures and if we could we would certainly take it away, but for us as a family there are hard times that each of us have to cope with.  My younger daughter Grace struggles sometimes to deal with Gabby’s epilepsy, it frightens her and she is constantly worried about her sister.  As awful as epilepsy is, it has brought our two girls together and they are extremely close.

As her mum I also struggle with anxiety and constant worry about her and what her life is going to be, I did become complacent in a seizure-free period so this past week has been very tough.  As her dad, Alex just wants to protect her and take it away, but obviously he can’t.  He commented recently, “what the hell do we do now?”.

For us having support around us as we go through this journey is paramount to our own emotional and mental wellbeing, we hold each other up as much as we can and having my parents to support us is very comforting.

What can you do to help?

As I mentioned earlier this month is fundraising month for Epilepsy in Australia, there are a lot of events happening around Australia on March 26, get involved and if you are unable to, a donation would be amazing.  I have set up a fundraising page for Gabby and if you are in a position to support children with Epilepsy, it would be very much appreciated.  These donations go to Epilepsy Queensland.

Thank you for your part in spreading the word about Epilepsy and helping with my awareness campaign.

A Guide to Personal Empowerment

One of my favourite things that I am very passionate about is empowering women to really believe in themselves and get back in the driver’s seat of their life.  The light I see in their eyes when this shift begins to happen is miraculous, they stand tall and have a beautiful confidence within them that then shines out to the world.

Personal empowerment is a very powerful skill to have in your arsenal, being able to empower yourself in each and every moment you are experiencing will make a significant change to your life.

What is Personal Empowerment?

Personal empowerment is looking at yourself and identifying your strengths and weaknesses and gaining an awareness of your uniqueness.  Basically it is understanding who you are, accepting who you are and having a belief in yourself.

“A self-empowered individual does not let go of the power of the expert of self”

On your path towards personal empowerment it is important to remember that no-one knows you or knows what you need more than you do.  Whether you are aware of it or not,  you are the expert on YOU!

Your Pocket Guide to Personal Empowerment

Becoming aware of your strengths and weaknesses will allow you to begin to really get to know who you are right now, not who you were as a child or even a younger adult, right now.  Make a list of your strengths and really start to become aware and acknowledge your greatness.

Starting to build a trusting relationship with yourself is important, to make choices and move forward in your life you need to operate from a state of trust.  Like I mentioned earlier you are the expert on you.  Make a list of all the times where you have done something and it worked out, this will help to build your trust.

What are your values?  Knowing what your values are and having the ability to stand by them can be extremely empowering, this also comes back to knowing who you are and having a belief in yourself.

Recognising what your skills are and how you can use them in your life to help both yourself and others will give you a sense of great confidence and in turn personal empowerment.

Setting realistic goals to help you to achieve what it is you want in your life, in itself can be very empowering.  Again, giving you a sense of confidence, responsibility and power over your life.

A lot of the time we go through life without direction and this can lead to losing confidence in yourself and feeling you don’t have what it takes to succeed.

You have everything you need within you to follow your path and fulfill your purpose here on Earth, taking the time to really tune in and becoming aware of who you are, will see you well on your way to Personal Empowerment.

Emotional Freedom Techniques

What is EFT?

What is EFT?

You may have heard a bit about EFT recently and wondering what it is exactly, or you may be thinking I have never heard of it.

Then you are in the right place to learn all about EFT and how it can help you in your life.

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques and is also referred to as Tapping, due to the action of tapping on acupressure points on your upper body.

It is best described as a calming technique. Also known as tapping, as the process includes tapping using two fingers on 8 acupressure points on your face and upper body.

Emotional Freedom Techniques or Tapping is evidence-based modality in energy psychology, allowing you to heal from past hurts and gain freedom to live the life of your dreams.

Known as relaxation, stress reduction technique and a psychological version of acupuncture without the needles. Brings you back to a state of calm and neutrality to allow you to respond instead of reacting to life’s experiences.

EFT is an amazing technique to help you with managing stress, overwhelm and anxiety.

Now, that we have the technical part out of the way, let’s talk about what it can do for you in your life.  I will start with talking to you about the difference it has made in my life.

I have suffered from anxiety and panic attacks since I was a young child and boy do I wish this was around back then, I spent a lot of my time either fighting against my own thoughts or running away from situations that scared me.

Fast forward to today I can happily say I haven’t had a panic or anxiety attack in two years and yes since I learned about Tapping.  At first I have to admit it felt very strange and I really wondered whether it was doing anything, or was it just my imagination.

The affects I feel from tapping are just too real for it to be my imagination, I have never come across anything else (yes I have tried a lot of different modalities) that was able to calm me in the moment of high stress.

For those of you that have been following me for a while will know I have had a lot of stress in the past few years with my two daughters illnesses.

The wonderful thing about EFT or Tapping is that it is backed up with over 100 clinical trials to show its effectiveness in so many areas within your life, from stress, trauma, depression, PTSD, Anxiety, chronic pain and weight loss.

I can’t impress enough on you how amazing this modality is and the difference it can make in your life.

So that you can experience tapping for yourself I am offering a free online session to allow you to experience it in your own life.   Book your session here

New Years Resolution

5 Steps to a Successful New Year’s Resolution

Happy New Year!

Welcome to a new year, where you have 365 new chances to build a new life.

365 New Chances for 2018

How many year’s past have you set a new year’s resolution and found it amounted to less than you had hoped for?

Why not make 2018 your year and do things differently, make a change in your behaviour and see the difference in your life over the next 365 days.

5 easy steps to a successful new year’s resolution

Smart Goal

Step #1  – S = Specific

In setting your goal for your new year’s resolution it is important to be specific, being very vague or global about your new year’s resolution is going to set you up for failure.  As the saying goes “Failing to plan is planning to fail”, taking the time to really jot down what it is you want to achieve is the first step to success.  Ask yourself the following questions:

  1. How do I want to feel once I achieve my goal?
  2. How will my life be different?
  3. What will this do for me on a personal level?

Step #2 – M = Measurable

The next step is to ensure your goal for your new year’s resolution is measurable, you need to be able to see the  progress you are making towards your goal.  This will help to keep you on track and provide you with the motivation to ensure you achieve your goal.  Research shows that the majority of new year’s resolutions are done and dusted by 15th January due to old habits re-surfacing and not having a plan in place to keep you motivated.

Step #3 – A – Achievable

This step helps to keep you accountable to what is possible for you right now, don’t get me wrong thinking big and outside of your box is important, however it is also essential to start with something that you know is achievable with the resources that you have available to you right now.  Making your goal achievable is another great way of motivating you, seeing small steps towards your goal will keep you going way past previous attempts.   Asking yourself, what resources do I have available to me right now to attain my goal?

Step #4 – R – Rewarding

What is the point of doing anything if it isn’t rewarding in some way, right?  This step is going to help you to stay motivated and inspired to stick to your plan and have the best chance of being successful in the area  you have chosen for your new year’s resolution.   So ensure your goal is for you and not because someone else or society dictates you should, it needs to mean something to you.  This will help you to keep at it, taking the action steps required to get you there and in the hard times something to push you across the finish line.

Step #5 – T – Timely

The final step is to make your goal timely, how long will it take you to achieve your goal?  6 weeks, 12 weeks, 6 months or 12 months, knowing this will help you to plan out your action steps and have points along the way that show you that you are well on your way to achieving your goal.  Seeing your progress and taking the time to bring awareness to how far you  have come will definitely keep you going and well on your way to having a successful new year’s resolution for 2018.

This 5-step process is really going to help you to make 2018 your year, how great will it feel at the end of the year and you can say ‘YES’ I achieved my goal and actually followed through with my new year’s resolution for possibly the very first time.

Go after what you want, keep it in your view and do it just for YOU!

Is Fear Driving Your Life?

False Evidence Appearing Real

Is that what you want leading your life?

As you go through life and have negative experiences fear can become a very big part of your life and at times, taking its place in the driver’s seat of your life.

Driving your actions and decisions and limiting the things you are able to achieve and the results that appear in your life.

Fear can be very debilitating and consume your thoughts in different areas of your life depending on your experiences.

At times the fear you experience can actually feel very real and it can be hard to differentiate between what is fear and anxiety and what is real and true.

Fear does play an important part in our life, keeping us safe in dangerous situations.

But how do you tell the difference between what fear is helpful and what is harmful?

Learning to trust in yourself and your inner voice – intuition, will help you to start to differentiate between the voice of ego and the voice of your intuition.

  • Your inner voice is always a very quiet and positive voice, guiding you for your best interest.
  • The voice of unhelpful ego is always a loud voice and uses negative words and messaging.

Implementing this one action into your daily life will allow you to heal the most important relationship, the relationship with your higher self.

This will help you to begin to heal your connection to a very important source of guidance and information for your journey here on earth.

Your past experiences can dictate how you respond or react to similar situations in the present time.  Essentially having fear in the driver’s seat of your life.

Healing these past experiences can help to change the way you respond to current and new experiences.  Essentially kicking fear to the kerb and putting yourself in the driver’s seat of your life.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a wonderful easy and effective modality to help you to heal these past experiences that are affecting your current life.

In our upcoming signature online program – Freedom From Fear commencing in February 2018.

An opportunity to start to explore how your past experiences are affecting your life and start to heal and kick fear to the kerb once and for all.

Courage is an Angel

Courage is an Angel!

What is courage exactly? Feeling the fear and doing it anyway, as a special needs mum I have had to find courage in buckets to continue day in and day out with what needs to be done.

Like an angel courage keeps you going when you normally would not have the strength or determination to keep going.  Courage supports you through the tough times and reminds you of the inner strength you have always had.

Have you ever had the question – I don’t know how you do it? I don’t have a choice this is the hand I have been dealt, so all I can do is make the most of it. Would I wish this on any other person, hell no, it is not an easy road but one I wouldn’t change. Yes you read that correctly, I wouldn’t change our life. Of course if I could take away Gabby’s seizures I definitely would, the lessons we have learned and the strength we have gained through this process called life has been amazing.

Yesterday, saw Gabby’s seizures return, partially due to her being unwell and partially to the stress our family was experiencing. I do very well in crisis situations, jumped into action put all our monitoring back in place to ensure her safety overnight, so I could get some sleep.

Now for me this is where the courage kicks in, it is in those quiet moments when everyone is OK and I have to deal with the emotional fallout of what we have experienced. Having the courage to see and feel the emotion allowing it to flow through me without the need to push it down and ignore its purpose.

I see myself as the Lioness of our family, protecting them to the ends of the world and once all is quiet I retreat and lick my wounds.

What does the word ‘Courage’ mean to you?

Acceptance of my Journey

Acceptance is the first step!

I took some time out yesterday just to sit and enjoy the quiet before the school holidays commenced. The thoughts that came up for me were all around the journey we have been on as a family for the past 3 years.

Questions I pondered were why was I chosen as the girls mum and what lessons am I supposed to be learning through our experience and why does Gabby have to endure all of this?

Answers I received was both Gabby and I have been given this challenge or experience, depending on how you look at it, for a bigger reason. It is much bigger than us, there is something in it that I need to do, still working on that part.

Being open to acceptance of our journey has been the first step towards healing and finding our way through and being open to the lessons that we are to learn.  Acceptance has been very eye opening and instead of it feeling like we are saying it is okay, it has helped us to move forward despite the challenges.

The lesson I feel that is important here is that even though we have endured quite a lot and on the surface it may be hard to see what is positive, but when I really sit back and look over the past three years there is quite a lot to be grateful for.

Big one been Gabby is still with us and thriving, I have found amazing amounts of strength that were within me all along and our family is so much closer than ever before.

If you are able to step out of your experience just for a moment, what lesson is there for you to grasp?  How would your life look different if you were able to operate from a space of acceptance?
